When I think of these adorable, plastic, pink flamingos, I must admit I think of summer. Images of sandy beaches, pool sides, palm trees, and lots of sun flitter through my mind.

But, it's November.

And, my favorite holiday is just around the corner – Christmas!

Believe it or not, the fun and colorful plastic flamingos you see gracing summer lawns are just as at home accenting your outdoor Christmas decorations, as they are amidst your spring flowers. Here are just two pink flamingo decorating ideas for you this holiday season.

Idea #1 - Santa Flamingo -

Ho! Ho! Ho!! Dress your favorite flamingo up as Jolly Ol' Saint Nick! A more kitschier Santa you will never encounter! Place a Santa hat on his little, pink head, held in place with some elastic and a snowy white beard made of crafter stuffing and he'll be ready to fly down chimneys come Christmas Eve. Or, go all out and look for a Santa dog costume. With a few simple alterations, your flamingo friend will be all decked out for the holidays!

Idea #2 - A Sleighful of ... Flamingos? -

If you're more a Christmas traditionalist and prefer your Santa human, fear not! There's still work your flamingos can do on Christmas Eve! A decorative yard sleigh needs some animal helpers to pull it through the sky. And, let me tell you, I hear flamingos are even better sleigh pullers than reindeer! Arrange your eight best flamingo flyers ahead of your sleigh – you can even fashion some flamingo harnesses out of felt with jingle bells sewn on. Or, better! Include a ninth, in the lead, with a bright red clown nose to be your very own Rudingo... Fladulph? Well, your family decide what to name him, either way he'll be ready to help guide Santa even if the night sky is overcast!
